Web Services

Tritech offers a family of products that facilitate information sharing and exchange with end users and 3rd party applications. These products provide secure access to client, policy, billing, claims and reports over the web.

Web Assistant

All browser-based GUI is consolidated in a single shell called “Web Assistant”. It enables faster return on investment by making all content immediately available, without initial development efforts. Web Assistant provides access to the following components:

  • GIMS Database Query (CIM).
  • GIMS Online Transactions.
  • Reports.
  • Quick Quotes.
  • OLAP Cube Browser.

Each component is an individual web application, with a shared single sign-on.

Online Database Query and Transactions

GIMS Database Query and Online Transactions offers substantial extensibility through XML definitions and transformation stylesheets. Each query/transaction has a corresponding GIMS program, which performs the task. Input and output parameters of the program are specified in the XML configuration file. The program reads XML and generates XML back in response. The result is transformed into HTML using XSLT stylesheet and displayed in user’s web browser. The task for administrators to create custom queries/transactions consists of 3 steps: writing a program, creating XML specification, and defining XML-to-HTML transformation.

Reports

The Tritech Reports module is based on SQL Server Reporting Services, and allows customization and development through Report Definition Language (RDL) authoring in Visual Studio.NET or any plain text editor. Reporting Services enables published reports for scheduled execution and distribution in all popular formats, such as HTML, TIFF or PDF. Concurrent access is improved by ability to execute reports from cached snapshots, which can be updated on demand or by schedule. Administrators can manage reports, security roles and permissions using a Web Browser.

Quick Quotes

Web Quote
Quick Quotes offers fast and convenient way to obtain auto and homeowners quotations, using a browser-based screen sequence. This module is a web front end to the Point of Sale business logic. The input validation is user-friendly and business rules enforcement is table-driven. Quick Quotes can interface to the standalone Point of Sale database or directly to GIMS. It supports the creation of new prospect or client files, quotation management, and reports differences in any number of quotes. For more information click here.

OLAP Cube Browser

OLAP cube browser is targeted at internal knowledge workers, who need ad-hoc reporting to support analysis and decision-making. Cube browser is very similar to the one found in Excel; with field drag-and-drop and instant refresh capabilities. In some areas it is more advanced. For example, users can view and modify multidimensional query (MDX) source, which is not possible within Excel. Cube browser is customizable and can be tailored to customer’s needs.

XML Web Services

GIMS Database Query, Online Transactions and Reports are available as XML Web Services, opening countless integration possibilities with 3rd party products and applications. Microsoft .Net technology provides robust foundation for GIMS web-based components.
